President
Gurleen Gill
Gurleen is a fifth year BSc student majoring in biology. As president, she leads weekly meetings and oversees all committees. Her goal for the club this year is to create an inviting environment for returning and new members to thrive and create life long friendships. During her free time, she enjoys doing puzzles and watching Netflix! Gurleen’s favourite cuisine’s are Indian and Greek and she is the biggest fan of Harry Potter!
Vice President Internal
Manjot Mangat
Manjot is a 3rd year majoring in Sociology. As the internal VP, Manjot oversees the marketing and fundraising committees, and is also responsible for booking necessary campus spaces for the club. Manjot is excited to get to know everyone and work alongside ECHO members. In her free time, she loves to watch documentaries, go on hikes, and always tries new dessert places!
Vice President External
Christine Chen
Christine is a 5th year Bsc Student majoring in Biology. As the AMS ECHO VP External, she supports outreach activities and assists with events planning. She hopes to collaborate with different student clubs at UBC to facilitate new fundraising events this year. In her free time, she enjoys spending time in the gym, catching up with F1 activities, and trying out new restaurants.
Treasurer
Lawrence Ma
Lawrence is a 2nd year student majoring in Statistics. He is interested in tech and science, and in his free time he loves to play badminton, socialize with friends and play video games. It may be a bit weird, but studying has also become something of a hobby for him too, as is programming!
Events/Fundraising Co-Chair
Emily Chan
Emily is currently a third-year student majoring in Sociology and minoring in Early Childhood Education. As an Events/Fundraising Co-Chair, she is super excited for what the upcoming school year has in store for ECHO and can’t wait to start collaborating with the rest of the team! When Emily is not cooped up in the library drowning in readings, you can catch her sipping on some bubble tea or binging the latest Animes and K-Dramas.

Charlize Chua
Charlize is a 2nd-year student majoring in Business. As an Events/Fundraising Co-Chair, her goal is to organize very exciting socials, arrange successful fundraisers, and increase interaction with ECHO members. She wishes to develop a sense of community within UBC and raise funds for a cause and/or organization monthly. During her free time, Charlize enjoys spending time with friends and family, watching movies, and running!

Yashmeen Gill
Yashmeen is a 5th year BSc student majoring in Biology. In her free time, Yashmeen likes to watch Netflix and catch up on sleep. She is looking forward to meeting everyone!
Marketing Co-Chair
Sanam Kumar
Sanam is a fourth year Arts student double majoring in Psychology and Sociology. She is super excited to be a part of Echo this year and help with all things marketing. In her free time, Sanam enjoys spending time in nature and exploring Vancouver. On a cold, rainy day, you can find her playing Super Smash Bros or Mario Kart.
Marketing Co-Chair
Ayman Jafri
Ayman is a fourth year student studying Computer Science and Biology. As a Marketing Co-Chair, she is really excited to increase ECHO's presence on social media and improve the club's reach. She really hopes to increase club membership this year. When she's not slowly chipping away at her assignments, Ayman likes to hang out with her friends, watch Marvel movies, and play Minecraft.
